We offer three options for general pest control. Our general pest control options cater to the needs of each individual customer and provide coverage for most common household pests, such as mice, spiders, ants, crickets, bees, centipedes, flies, roaches, stinkbugs, silverfish, wasps, yellow jackets, etc. Rats are included in general pest control but have a larger initial fee. The exclusions to our quarterly pest control program are termites, wildlife, mosquitos, and bed bugs. We do provide services for these pests, but they are outside of our general pest control and carry an additional fee.

HOW DOES EACH PLAN WORK?

Option One: Our Quarterly Maintenance Program. This program includes 4 scheduled visits a year (each quarter) with the ability for callbacks between services at no additional cost. During your initial visit, your tech will perform an inspection around the entire home, identifying possible entry points, sealing those entry points, knocking down any spider webs or nests, and providing an invisible barrier around your home to help shield it against pests. If rodents are an issue, bait stations and traps will be installed and those will be maintained at each visit. Any interior issues will also be addressed and treated accordingly upon customer request.

Potomac Pest and Termite Control recommends everyone be on reoccurring pest control as this is the best defense against pests!

Option Two: One-time service. This option should be considered when dealing with a single pest issue that can be easily resolved with one or two treatments. Removal of wasps or bees nest is a great example of when one-time pest control is most appropriate. Our one-time pest control comes with a 60-day warranty.

Option Three: Our monthly pest control program. This is great for small businesses or residences who live in the woods or really don't like bugs. This plan is performed monthly and covers the business or home for most common household pests.

Termite Control

Termites are known as the silent destroyer because without professional inspection they can go years without being detected eating away at your home, potentially causing costly structural damage.

A termite inspection should be performed every year. Having your house regularly inspected for termites ensures that any termite issues are caught early, avoiding potentially costly damage to the structure of your home.

Termite treatments vary in price depending on the severity of the issue and the size of your home. All of our treatments come with at least a 1-year warranty.

Need a Wood Destroying Insect Report?

When buying, selling, or refinancing a home, the state of Maryland and Virginia generally require that a termite inspection be performed, and a Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Report be filled out and submitted. The cost of WDI's is $75.

Bed Bug Treatment

Bed bugs are extremely hardy, intelligent, and methodical. They can live for several months without a meal which means they can linger on furniture, bags, and suitcases for a long time waiting until they come near a human host again. They can live in extreme temperatures from nearly freezing to 122 degrees. They are elusive hiding in mattress crevices, box springs, baseboards, electrical switch plates, picture frames, and even behind wallpaper. Once their human host(s) go to sleep the bed bugs are brought out to feed by the carbon dioxide we exhale.

Bed bugs cannot be dealt with, with DIY measures and a professional should be contacted as soon as possible to avoid the infestation becoming bigger.

Our bed bug package is $585 and includes 3 treatments. Each treatment is done a week apart. There can be a lot of prep involved on the end of the homeowner before we can come out to perform the treatments depending on the severity of the infestation. Mosquito Treatment

Wildlife Control Services

Wildlife includes birds, raccoons, squirrels, possums, bats, skunks, moles, and groundhogs.

As your house ages, it becomes more susceptible to wildlife.
